It was a great night of activities for the almost fifty couples that attended the 3rd Annual “
Para
Parejas” dinner. All were laughing and having good fun as couples. Guest speaker, Rev. Sam Molina and his wife, Rose Molina shared some experiences they have had within their many years of marriage, and how, with the Lord’s help, they have come thus far and are still in love with each other. He compared different great loves in couples throughout our history that are well known to all like Romeo and Juliet, Adam and Eve, and Isaac and Rebecca.
The night began with every couple being welcomed by our hosts and with a welcoming speech from Rev. Dino Espinoza. Rev. Dino and his wife, Loida Espinoza, sang a beautiful song and had all the couples take their spouse’s hand and listen to the lyrics, which spoke to the Lord about how joined together by hands we are going to renew our vows daily. The song also said of how beautiful it is knowing that the Lord is supporting us in our marriages. After the wonderful song, Rev. Dino introduced Rev. Sam Molina, who brought in a hands-on couple’s activity that everyone enjoyed doing. He spoke of how we have not known “Love” until we have known the love of God. After the wonderful words of Bro. Molina, dinner was ready for all to have.
Dinner was an ensemble of two main courses and several sides, including salad and dessert. Throughout the night the hosts had games that required both the husband and the wife to participate and everyone had an awesome time. Prizes, donated by many, were given to the winning couples.
It was a spectacular night, where young and older couples spent an extraordinary time with their spouse enjoying the word of God, dinner, and games. As one of the couples that attended, it was awesome!
